In Louisiana and around the USA, boiling and eating crawfish is a long standing family tradition.

Crawfish Festivals and Events across the United States in 2024

But we eat crawfish at places besides the home, whether it be in restaurants, family reunions, football games, or at company gatherings.

And we celebrate the crawfish in another way: Festivals!

These events encompass all the good things about life: food, fun, music and merriment!

Crawfish festivals are held all over Louisiana, from north to south, east to west, and in neighboring Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida ... and even New Jersey and San Diego!

IMPORTANT NOTE

Listed below are festivals and events normally scheduled most years. Emphasis is given to long-standing events and those with widespread appeal and popularity.
Some are TBA - To Be Announced

Events are always subject to change. We recommended you contact the responsible event sponsor to confirm dates, times and other details.

More than 400 Louisiana festivals occur each year – which makes it easy to see why Louisiana is often called the Festival Capital of America. We celebrate just about every crop harvested, every indigenous dish, every type of music that's played here – ranging from Cajun and zydeco to Delta blues, New Orleans jazz, Louisiana's own swamp pop, country, salsa and more. Excellent Louisiana food is a given at any festival. And as always, Louisiana festivals offer abundant opportunities for meeting new friends. - See more at: http://www.louisianatravel.com/festivals#sthash.9IHbOcsf.dpuf

City of Isleton Crawdad Festival
The Isleton Crawdad Festival has a captivating history that unfolds through the decades, harking back to its inception in the 1980s.

This charming historical town, nestled along the Sacramento River Delta, shares a spirited kinship with its sister city, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, famously known as the Crawfish Capital of the World, the very place where the world-renowned crawfish etouffee was born. These two river towns are bound not only by their shared love for the crawdads but also by their shared passion for the art of celebration.

Now, in 2024, visitors to the festival along Main Street will enjoy plenty of music, food, beer, cars and fun! Don't miss this fun event with live music performances, crawdads, seafood, car show, kids zone, shopping and drink vendors.

Crawfest is a annual spring celebration in Tahlequah, Oklahoma that is centered on New Orleans style food, drinks, entertainment, and of course, a never-ending supply of mouthwatering Cajun-style crawfish. The event takes place at the corner of Muskogee Avenue and Shawnee in heart of Downtown Tahlequah at Kroner & Baer Pub. Crawfest is organized, planned, and hosted by two local businesses in collaboration with sponsors, Tour Tahlequah Organization, and Tahlequah Main Street Association.
